Artist statement
Elisabeth Süß is a visual artist based in Vienna (AT).
In her work she approaches everyday situations, feelings and atmospheres in both a humorous and poetic sense.
Daydreams and figures are first captured in drawings and fragments of text and later transferred onto canvas, paper and textile.
Motives range from kissing snails, comic-like animals and objects to abstract, organic forms that are built layer over layer.
